Burnt out Exchange Server
A UK based IT company sent an Exchange server to Fields Data Recovery in November 2004. The server, which was used by over 100 employees and contained a huge exchange database, had been damaged in a fire at the company’s premises. Consequently, the hard drive had completely failed and no data was accessible. Due to the damage of the media, the IT company did not hold out much hope of recovering the information. However, their tape backup had also been lost in the fire, leaving the company without any of their valuable data. Fields› technicians replaced all the hard drive›s faulty components and managed to rebuild the drive; allowing them to recover not only the exchange server but also all the data files as well.
